Guthrie Govan - “Wonderful Slippery Thing” - Live. Guthrie drops some gems.

The Aristocrats - “Sweaty Knockers” - The Aristocrats. Bryan Beller (bass), Guthrie Govan (guitar), and Marco Minnemann (drums) rip through the peaks and valleys of this track, keeping you abreast of how titillating instrumental music can be when musicians reach deep into their fun-bag of tricks. Did I say boobs yet? Jokes aside, great album, stylistically diverse, with tasteful arrangements that zing like cayenne pepper.

Guthrie Govan - “Wonderful Slippery Thing” - Erotic Cakes. I imagine that if George Benson and Steve Vai did a song together, it might sound a little like this. Guthrie is a fine player indeed.
Richie Kotzen, Guthrie Govan & Greg Howe.
Three of my favorite guitarists.
Guthrie Govan and Billy Sheehan - “Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers”. Wow.
Guthrie Govan - “Erotic Cakes” - Erotic Cakes. State of the art of where aggressive instrumental shred guitar playing stands today. Creative, greasy, slippery speedy chops for days.

Guthrie Govan - “Wonderful Slippery Thing” - Erotic Cakes. UK six string slinger Guthrie Govan is without question one of the more versatile guitarists on the scene today - interweaving metal, country, jazz and blues, all with his own spin on it. This song captures a few arrows in his quiver. Best of all, not only is he a monster player, but he’s also a top notch instructor.
Guthrie Govan - “Fives” - Erotic Cakes. Posting the mp3 wouldn’t do him justice. This guy is state of the art in terms of where technique-driven instrumental guitar is today. Shred is not dead (it just smells funny).
