Your Flowing Data Is Clogged

I wish your.flowingdata.com were a bit more unstructured and “open” in terms of usage. I’d love to be able to create my own command dictionary of the form:

d yfd NAME VALUE [TIME]

Time should be optional. If I don’t include it, it uses my tweet time.

Here’s the kicker on how a service like this gets PAID. The web interface is free, but users pay to create personalized iPhone/BlackBerry/AIR apps that suck in people’s custom command dictionaries and make it insanely easy to submit. The creation of these applications can be automated and they “lock” to a particular account. Plenty of ideas percolating … that’ll do for now.
