Fried chicken and waffles is the best, though I will say, are those Eggo Waffles? Doesn’t matter, totally FTW. Though you can get this 24/7 at Cafeteria on 7th and 17th, the best chicken and waffles in the city can be had at Amy Ruth’s on 116th and Lenox. They name all their dishes after famous people, so, when you go, you can order an all white meat fried chicken and waffle covered with gravy by saying the following:
“I’d like a smothered white Al Sharpton, please.”
Somehow, I think we all could go for that at one time or another.
