Chuscales - “Gloria Bendita (Blessed Glory)”.  I met Chuscales years ago at a gig out in Brooklyn and was floored by his guitar playing.  This song is much more on the pop side of things and produced by pop-flamenco king Ottmar Liebert, but don’t be fooled - Chusco comes from a long serious tradition of Granada flamenco and was mentored by the greats including Paco De Lucia.  Though my Spanish is poor (and his accent and lisp incredibly thick), I do remember our fun conversation about how he and his family grew up in the caves of Sacromonte near Granada, and that banks had offered mortgages on buying caves.  I wonder how cave-home values are holding up in the global financial meltdown?
