David Cope - “Cheap Date”.  While living in Philidelphia, I heard this singer-songwriter and really enjoyed his light voice and musicality.  Though he’s a serious lyricist, this song’s vocal affectation, humor and timing are impeccable.  I can’t get the image of Antonio Banderas singing this song out of my head, hence the picture.
