ZZ-Top - “Just Got Paid” - Rio Grande Mud. Whatchoo know ‘bout Billy Gibbons’ hybrid chicken pickin’ and slide playing? I submit to you, nothing. Nada. I learned everything about hybrid picking from this song and use it every time I pick up a guitar. However, I learned very recently, twenty some-odd years after the fact that Billy picks it clean cross picking with string skipping, no hybrid action. I guess I know nada too. Enjoy.
