Animals As Leaders - “Behaving Badly” - Animals As Leaders.  My cousin Clark just introduced me to this technical instru-metal project by master guitarist Tosin Abasi.  With a fluid, layered approach emphasizing melodic clarity ahead of technique, Abasi’s innovative dense yet airy production sense is only bested by his guitar playing.  Don’t get it twisted, this brother from DC can rip your face clear off with 6, 7 or 8 strings.  Scary talented.  If you listen to one instrumental metal record this year, this should be it.
