Pariss Clemons - “Black Mary” - Gilles Peterson Worldwide Program 1.  Circa 1997, Poisoned Ivy Productions in effect: GBattle on guitars/bass, Mark Hines on beats/production, Selwyn “Seyfu” Hinds on the sugar cuts.  I had the pleasure of composing and performing live with Pariss many times.  She was a rare talent and thankfully immortalized on multiple recordings.  RIP homegirl.  For the production nerds, note the correct use of auto-tune on the choruses for the harmonies - natural and breathy.  Mark nailed it.
