James Brown - “Give It Up Or Turn It Loose”. Of particular note is how quickly his band can change tempos and relock. You can hear him do this all through the “Live at the Apollo” recording. I think this is where Wayne Krantz got the idea behind all his “Greenwich Mean” sessions at the 55 Bar. Love the smoking jacket, I need to get one.
