Twitter Lists aka $100mm to Copy Blogrolls →
The idea is to allow people to curate lists of Twitter accounts. For example, you could create a list of the funniest Twitter accounts of all time, athletes, local businesses, friends, or any compilation that makes sense.
gbattle sez:
Yes, I know, a bombastic title, but telling. It’s clear we are in the age of RSS redux, bite-sized syndication for the masses. IE/FireFox/Safari...

DJ Spinna and Bobbito Garcia - “The Wonder of Stevie” - Disc 1 of 2. This set of Stevie Wonder covers is what I’m jamming to this morning, cranking away. If you haven’t been to their annual Wonderful Party every May-teenth, you’re just plain crazy. Track list below:

Facebook Attrition and Twitter Trends
giantrobotlasers:
Trending
gbattle, these comments are really interesting. Thanks!
Though I have to say I think we’re making different points. My point is that I find pop topics uninteresting. Is your point that they are interesting to learn about what is pop? Are you really saying twitter is about real-time anthropology? I think the trending topics should only be there if they are immediately...

Facebook Attrition and Twitter Trends
giantrobotlasers:
I’m about to hit the hay, but just had a thought. There are more people actively playing Farmville on Facebook than are on Twitter. That blows my mind, for a few reasons. The $1B valuation / uber hype around twitter is one part of it. But coming from the other direction, that so many people would try out something so frivolous and un-fun as farmville is really quite amazing. I...

You’ve seen the video, now get in on the party! And by party, I mean getting a free copy of Windows 7 for hosting your own Launch Party. Sign up here. When I think party, I always think of Gates and Ballmer - those guys can throw down.

Republicans Move to Block Network Neutrality →
marco:
Just hours after Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski proposed expanding the network neutrality authority of the agency Sept. 21, Senate Republicans moved to block the initiative. Using an appropriations bill as a vehicle, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison introduced an amendment that would deny the FCC any funds for developing or implementing new Internet...

Princeton Achieves Marked Progress in Curbing... →
Five years after its inception, Princeton’s new grading policy has shown significant progress in bringing grades in undergraduate courses under better control. In 2008-09, A grades (A+, A, A-) accounted for 39.7 percent of grades in undergraduate courses across the University — the first time that A grades have fallen below 40 percent since the policy was approved.

The Great Sucking Sound From Detroit →
So GM thinks that giving a two month money-back guarantee is going to bolster sales? I think I am going to buy a GM car and take it back after 59 days just to prove my point that this is the most desperate promotion ever. What kind of car should I get?

AnyClip presents at TechCrunch 50 and wins the Audience Award (and Scoble’s Scotch award). I was fortunate enough to consult for them on strategy, diligence and restructuring earlier this year both in NYC and Jerusalem. Great team: Aaron Cohen is a veteran leader, Nate Westheimer’s product development star is rising quickly, and we won’t even get into the secret weapons on...

– cdixon.org / Founder vesting
Rafer sez (rafer): I fear that @cdixon and I work in different universes. Founder vesting is a terrible thing. While it can cost you a lot of economic value to lose a co-founder who owns their stock free and clear, founder vesting costs a lot more.

Are MBAs Necessary for Start-ups or VC? →
David Lifson aka catepillarcowboy reblogged a great quote today from Mark Suster’s article regarding the utility of an MBA for start-ups and VC. Below is my humble comment to both the article and the great comment stream that included sage remarks from the inspiration behind the post, Chris Dixon.
